Google Classroom has become the teacher’s best friend in classroom organization. Empower students by creating opportunities for them to develop college ready study habits by checking into Classroom daily. As an extension to Google Drive, Docs, and Slides, Classroom can be the way teachers deliver materials, collect student work, and provide feedback on work. In this session you will learn how to set up, manage, and add students to your class, publish assignments, and make announcements.  More

Taking the time to observe details in the world around us is an important part of becoming an artist. Participants will examine photographs and zoom in and sketch an interesting section for the basis of their final art piece. A variety of drawing materials will be available to create this final project. We will see how a detailed zoomed in section of an object can sometimes be more interesting than drawing the whole object itself. Come join us for this relaxing hands-on art experience. More

This monthly meeting will be an opportunity for teachers to come share technology related lessons and ideas that they are implementing in the classroom. While the session is open to all teachers from Tk-12, we will have opportunities for you to break out into groups to work with each other and collaborate on your work. We would like to harness the power of the group during this time so that we can all learn and grow together.

This month, we will focus on activities that allow students to be Digital Citizens. With the plethora of resources available to teachers and a lack of time to teach these important lessons, we hope to share a few lessons on the different ways students can have opportunities to practice learning, living, and connecting in a truly global digital world.

This course is open to Elementary Teachers. Participants will explore the concepts of identity and diversity. Through interactive discussion and activities, we will examine how our own identities shape our worldview as well as how they impact the ways that others see us. We’ll work to develop a common language for talking about issues related to diversity and identity and walk away with tools to help us discuss these concepts with others. More
